Rev. Dr. Tommy P. Smith, affectionately known by many as “TPS” (Teacher, Preacher, Servant). Dr. Smith teachers, preaches, serves, and leads with passion as Pastor of Divine Baptist Church. He is a Georgia native who relocated to Florida as a teenager, where he entered the United States Air Force in 1981 and completed over 24 years of honorable service.

After retiring from active duty, Dr. Smith continued to serve in uniform for an additional 11 years, as Aerospace Science Instructor, Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, Indian River High School. In this capacity, he mentored and trained high school students/cadets in leadership development, communication skills and human behavior. Dr. Smith is “apt to TEACH” (2 Tim. 2:24), “ready to PREACH” (2 Tim. 4:2), and always willing to “SERVE” (Mark 10:44). Dr. Smith’s spiritual anointing and selfless attitude allow him to operate under the Savior’s Authority as Tommy Patrick Smith—TPS—Teacher Preacher Servant!

Dr. Smith and his lovely wife, Brenda, have been bountifully blessed with one adorable daughter, Shannon (Air Force Veteran). To God be the glory Who continues to bless exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or imagine, according to the power at work within us.
